There He Goes: Gary Collins and the Miss America Pageant parted company, mutually, on Wednesday. Collins, who has hosted the event since 1982, said he felt “the timing was right” to leave. A prepared statement noted Collins’ busy schedule as host of ABC’s daily “The Home Show” and his other business interests. No word on who’ll be the new pageant host.
