SOCCER / NORTH AMERICAN NATIONS CUP : Mexico Goes Against Canada

Share

Mexico, stunned by its 2-2 draw Tuesday with the United States, meets Canada at 8 tonight at the Coliseum in the second game of the North American Nations Cup.

Confident of victory even though many of its best players were in Buenos Aires for Wednesday night’s exhibition against Argentina, Mexico allowed U.S. midfielder Bruce Murray to tie the tournament opener on a free kick with less than a minute remaining.

In the final game, the United States and Canada play Saturday at 1 p.m. at El Camino College in Torrance.
