Nation IN BRIEF : NEW YORK : Poll Finds Cuomo Rating at New Low

New York Gov. Mario M. Cuomo’s approval rating has dropped to its lowest point since he took office in 1983, a new poll showed. Forty-eight percent of those surveyed by the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion said Cuomo was doing a good or excellent job, down more than 16 points from a year ago. It is the first time that he received less than a 50% positive rating, institute director Lee Miringoff said.
