SINGAPORE — iny farm is taking shape on the fourth floor of one of Singapore’s luxury high-rise hotels in the heart of the city.
The Pan Pacific Hotel is raising seven chickens by its poolside and has started a herb garden, its public relations director said Friday.
“At the crack of dawn, the cock crows. It’s really unusual to find that in the middle of town,” said Dianne Mathews.
Eggs from the chickens--three dozen so far--and mint from the garden are sent to the hotel’s kitchens.
