HONG KONG: Employment in business and finance is climbing in the British colony, but the number of manufacturing sector jobs is declining, further confirming the economy’s shift to the service sector. The latest study released by the Hong Kong Census and Statistics Department shows a 9.5% increase in business service jobs after the first nine months of 1990, compared to the same period in 1989.
