Search Finds No More PCP-Laced Milk Cans

Share

Random samples from around the country of condensed milk cans bearing the same code as a can contaminated with PCP found no other contaminations, a spokesman for Nestles USA Inc. said Monday.

Nestle spokesman Dick Curd said the company also found no evidence of tampering at the Missouri plant where the La Lechera milk is canned or in its distribution system.

Two women and two children from a Pasadena family were poisoned March 6 and 7 after they ate rice pudding made with a can of the milk bought at a Sierra Madre Boulevard grocery. Police said they found no evidence that the can was tampered with or that other family members caused the poisoning. The FBI is investigating.
