High School Needs Land
For seven years, I have been a very involved parent at Oxnard High School. I think it is time to start thinking about the students there.
The school is too close to the airport and it is badly deteriorated because of age. I have been involved in the reconstruction/relocation committee since 1986, so this is not a rush deal.
The biggest laugh is the argument by protesters who say that the school should not be built on agricultural land. Are we to believe that Summerfield and RiverRidge housing developments were not built on agricultural land? The district has looked at several locations, but the original parcel at Patterson and Gonzales roads is the most feasible.
