Open House, School Registration Scheduled

Culver City and Santa Monica-Malibu schools will conduct programs starting next week in which the community can meet teachers and principals.

Open houses will be held at Culver City schools according to the following schedule: La Ballona School, Tuesday, 7 to 8 p.m.; El Rincon, Wednesday, 7 to 8 p.m.; Linwood E. Howe, March 28, 7 to 8 p.m.; Culver City High School, April 3, 7 to 8:30 p.m.; Farragut, April 4, 7 to 8 p.m.; Culver City Middle School and Culver Park High School, April 17, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District will be holding kindergarten orientation and registration at its elementary schools.

To register their children, district residents should go to their neighborhood school with their children’s birth certificates, health records and proof of residence, such as a utility bill.

The registration will be held at: Edison and Grant, Tuesday, 8 a.m.; John Muir, Tuesday, 9 a.m.; Rogers, Tuesday, 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.; Malibu Park, Tuesday and Wednesday, 8:15 a.m.; McKinley, March 28, 8 a.m.; Webster, April 1 and 2, 9 a.m.; Roosevelt and the alternative school, April 2, 8 a.m.; Franklin, April 4, 8 a.m.
