Vandals Break Into Lockers at High School

Vandals broke into more than 100 student lockers and painted graffiti on doors and windows at Calabasas High School, the principal said Thursday.

Officials of the Las Virgenes Unified School District have posted a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in the vandalism, which was discovered by custodians early Wednesday, Principal Dorothy Schneider said.

The vandals cut the padlocks off more than 100 student lockers and then dumped papers and books onto the ground, Schneider said. There is no estimate on the cost of the damage, she said.

“The students were so outraged they cleaned up a lot of it themselves,” Schneider said.
