Orders From Moscow: ITM Inc. in Costa Mesa said Friday that its Atlanta subsidiary, SST Inc., has concluded its first agreement to sell 1,000 laptop computers worth about $2 million to a scientific organization in Moscow.

ITM, a trade management firm, already has been paid for the computers in Soviet rubles, said Mark Talieh, the company’s president.

“We have projects that are upcoming, such as selling auto spare parts and used cars in the Soviet Union, and we’ll need portions of those rubles to invest in this new venture,” he said.

Talieh said that the SST unit also has received a $1.5-million order from LADA, a Moscow-based auto maker, for consumer electronics equipment.
