Development Panel Picked

A citywide Economic Development Committee was set up by the City Council last week, ending a dispute that had lasted more than a year.

Mayor Sabino M. Cici said the nine-member committee will hold its first meeting within a month. One of its early tasks will be to identify business opportunities in San Gabriel and ways to provide incentives to investors.

Named to the committee were Dick O’Donnell, owner of O’Donnell Buick; Howard Roach, owner of Howard’s TV and Appliances; businessman Don Ricketts; Ernest Brambila, commercial real estate salesman and member of the San Gabriel Planning Commission; Roger Chen, developer of the San Gabriel Commercial Complex; businessman and former Mayor Michael Falabrino; dentist Richard Sun; insurance broker Harry Baldwin, and Councilman Dominic S. Polimeni.
