Slow Going on Road Improvement Work

I represent an area in Sherman Oaks that has been disrupted since last fall by so-called street repairs undertaken in October with notices to the homeowners they would be completed around the end of the year.

It is now approaching the second phase and work is at a standstill. The so-called improvements consisted of new concrete gutters followed by repaving of the blacktop street. The recent rains resulted in damage because the street surfaces were not finished. The no-parking restrictions are now totally ignored by the neighbors because there is no work evident during the period that they are supposedly in force.

The job is not being properly supervised and needs attention by the Los Angeles street maintenance authorities.

This is not just my complaint, but a complaint of everyone in the community, from Valley Vista to Mulholland Drive and on either side of Woodcliff Avenue.
