Parking Ban Is Unnecessary
The city--meaning Mayor Bradley--has put up signs stating that you may not park on the south side of Ventura Boulevard between the hours of 3 and 7 p.m.
Please notice that’s the south side of the street, which affects only eastbound traffic.
The bulk of the traffic during those hours is westbound.
Isn’t it just like our so-called “leaders” to make an arbitrary decision that affects only traffic where there isn’t any ?
CURB (Citizens United to Restore the Boulevard) and several other citizen action groups are fighting this problem, along with several chambers of commerce.
You can call the mayor’s office and ask him to remove these silly signs, or call Councilman Marvin Braude.
