CAMARILLO : Stolen Shampoo Found; 5 Arrested

Share

Four hundred cases of shampoo stolen from the Clairol Inc. plant in Camarillo were discovered in a Baldwin Park warehouse, and five people were arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property, authorities said Tuesday.

The shampoo, along with another 1,100 cases that apparently had already been disposed of, were taken earlier this month from the Clairol plant in the 1200 block of Flynn Road in two tractor-trailers packed for delivery, authorities said.

Los Angeles County authorities began an investigation last week into allegations that stolen property was being kept in the warehouse, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Jim Harris said. They also found 2,200 12-packs of Coca-Cola, about 700 cases of sugar, 650 cases of toilet paper, 80 tires and 10,000 pounds of meat in the warehouse, police said.
