Mexico Told to Help Its Own

Share

If Mexico wants to help their constituents, (March 8, “Mexican Human Rights Official Visits Area”), it should start at home. The Mexican government can begin by fostering an environment that would encourage its citizens to work in their homeland to improve it, instead of repelling them, as it currently does.

To come here and second-guess actions taken by police in a spur of the moment crisis only serves to discredit Mexico’s National Commission on Human Rights. The environment that law enforcement people must work in does not leave much room for guesswork about what course of action to follow. They do not work in a classroom or laboratory, but in the real world.
