Dear Kids:

Psst. The Easter Bunny here. Just wanted to let you know about a bunch of Easter egg hunts and breakfasts this weekend.

Since I know that some of you don’t have driver’s licenses, parents are invited too. You have a choice of several places:

* The San Gabriel Parks and Recreation Department and Kiwanis Club will serve pancakes at 7 a.m. Saturday, and hide Easter eggs for you at Smith Park, 232 W. Broadway. Your parents pay $3 and you pay $1.

* Or, you can have breakfast with me at Duarte’s Community Center, 1600 E. Huntington Drive, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The cost

is $3 for adults and $1.50 for children. Duarte Parks and Recreation Department and Rotary Club have arranged it all for you.

* In Azusa on Saturday, prizes will be given to the top egg finder at Northside, Slauson, Gladstone and Memorial parks. The free egg hunts begin at 9:30 a.m.

* On Sunday, characters from “Alice in Wonderland” will greet you during an Easter celebration and egg hunt at Heritage Square Museum, 3800 Homer St., Highland Park. Come at noon and stay until 4 p.m. Parents pay $4.50; older brothers and sisters (12 to 17) pay $3, and you (under 12) get in free!
