Movin’ On: Emerson Computer Power, a division of Emerson Electric Co., is moving to Irvine from Santa Ana, adding another computer company to the Irvine Co.’s massive Spectrum industrial park at the junction of the San Diego and Santa Ana freeways.
Emerson signed a 10-year, $11-million lease for 140,000 square feet in a building on Jeronimo Road. The building is a joint venture between the giant Newport Beach developer and O’Donnell Armstrong & Partners, an Irvine developer of industrial buildings.
Emerson joins computer companies including Star Micronics, Advanced Logic Research, AST Research and Western Digital at the 2,600-acre Spectrum, which the Irvine Co. says will be the largest industrial park in the world when finished.
The park is already home to 1,000 companies and 20,000 employees.
