USC’s Perry to Become Focus of Spring Drills

Share

A scaled-down spring football practice will start today at USC, where a priority in the next three weeks will be spent introducing sophomore quarterback Reggie Perry to the starting lineup.

Perry has yet to throw a pass at USC and took only three snaps last season, all in the last series of a 56-7 victory over Oregon State. But he inherited the position when Todd Marinovich announced in January that he would make himself available for this month’s NFL draft, forgoing his final two seasons of college eligibility.

The NCAA this year reduced spring practice from 20 days to 15. USC will practice through April 20.
