American Restaurants Reports $743,324 Profit

American Restaurants Corp., a Ventura company that operates Hudson’s Grill and Wendy’s restaurants, reported a $743,324 profit for the year ended Dec. 30. Sales for the year totaled $28.6 million.

In the 48 weeks ended Dec. 31, 1989, American Restaurants earned $442,132 on sales of $23 million. The shorter reporting time reflects the company’s change of its fiscal year to coincide with the calendar year.

In the fourth quarter ended Dec. 30, American Restaurants had a net income of $149,864 on sales of $7.1 million. In the eight-week fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 1989, the company earned $57,211 on $3.9 million in revenues.
