IRVINE : Archeologist to Talk About Digs in India
Archeologist K.T.M. Hegde will talk about his excavations in western India and of relics of Buddha in a lecture Monday at UC Irvine.
The 7 p.m. event is free, but seating is limited. It will be held in Room 112 of the Social Ecology Building on campus.
Hegde, a professor of environmental archeology and chairman of the archeology department at the University of Baroda, India, will speak about relics found in excavations of a Buddhist monastery. For information, call (714) 856-7261.
