What’s the latest trend in hairstyles on the L.A. celeb circuit? Following ponytails on men, hair extensions and turning blond overnight, the new look is hanks of hair hanging in one’s face. We’re not talking wispy, wind-blown tendrils here, but great gobs of hair that in some cases fall well over the eyes, past the nose, dangling over the mouth. Some believe that Mariah Carey was the initial influence, since the singer is rarely photographed without long strands of her pre-Raphaelite mane placed strategically across her face. Or perhaps the look offers stars anonymity, replacing those cliched sunglasses.
