North Korea Reveals Indicator: For the first time in six years, North Korea has revealed one of its major economic indicators--its annual electricity production. The secretive communist country usually reports its economic trends in percentages, without numerical data. North Korea stopped providing major economic index in the mid-1980s, when its troubled economy was reportedly getting worse.
