Jensen Drops Bid for College Post
Robert Jensen, the leading candidate to head Ventura County’s three community colleges, has withdrawn from the field of applicants, Timothy Hirschberg, vice president of the Ventura County Community College District board, said Monday night.
Jensen was the favorite of four candidates to replace Barbara Derryberry, who announced last May that she would retire this June. Hirschberg said the board will meet Thursday and discuss the other candidates.
Hirschberg said that Jensen told Ventura College officials that he was accepting a position at Contra Costa Community College near San Francisco.
