U.S. Gasoline Supplies Are Low, Experts Say: U.S. supplies of gasoline have fallen into a danger zone as a temporary result of the Persian Gulf War, oil experts said. But they added that they saw little chance of retail shortages at the pump. “It’s not a comfortable feeling for the industry, but we haven’t heard of any serious problem at this point,” said David Morehead, vice president of the Petroleum Marketers Assn. in Washington, which represents wholesalers and retail station owners.
