Upjohn Co.: The health-care products firm posted first-quarter earnings of $133.3 million, up 16.6% from $114.3 million in the year-ago period. Sales were $799.4 million, an increase of 11% from last year’s $723.4 million. The Kalamazoo, Mich.-based company said worldwide sales of health-care products rose 10% and pharmaceutical sales outside the United States increased 13%.
