3 Bodybuilders Arrested in Steroid Trafficking
Three bodybuilders were arrested by state investigators on suspicion of steroid trafficking, authorities said Friday.
Identical twins Phillip and John A. Poteat, 24, and their housemate, Joseph P. Tong, 26, were arrested late Thursday by state Department of Justice investigators, according to Police Sgt. John Koebsell.
Hermosa Beach police assisted in the arrest of the three at their house in the 800 block of 20th Street, he said.
They were held on $100,000 bail each on suspicion of possessing controlled substances for sale, Koebsell said.
State authorities could not immediately be reached to describe the case against Tong and the Poteats.
The twins were described as 6 feet, 4 inches tall, with Phillip weighing 245 and his brother John, 230.
