Caltech Student Gets $1,000 Scholarship
Laura J. Hernandez, a student in biology and engineering and applied science at Caltech, has been awarded a $1,000 Incentive for Excellence Scholarship Prize by the National Science Foundation.
The prize recognizes minority students in the sciences. Hernandez’s research is in bioremediation, the use of microorganisms to help clean the environment.
