A San Diego sailboat with three people on board limped into Marina Del Rey early Saturday, suspending a Coast Guard air search for the missing vessel.
The 40-foot boat named the Eagle left San Diego Bay Wednesday and was scheduled to reach Marina Del Rey on Thursday.
All all-day air search Friday turned up nothing, a Coast Guard spokesman said, but the craft sailed into the Marina Del Rey harbor about 1 a.m. Saturday.
Engine trouble and lack of wind kept the Eagle drifting off Catalina Island for a day, the spokesman said. There were no reports of injuries among the boat’s passengers, he said.
