Marshall High School Awarded $713,000 Grant
John Marshall High School in the Los Angeles Unified School District has received a $713,000 grant from a private corporation promoting innovative school reforms.
Marshall, whose students won the national Academic Decathlon championship in 1987, was one of 15 schools across the nation to receive grants from a foundation set up by RJR Nabisco Inc.
Marshall’s grant, to be delivered over a three-year period, will help the school implement its plan to reorganize its educational program to improve student achievement.
