Merck & Co., Rahway, N.J., has promoted Jerry T. Jackson, president of the Merck Sharp & Dohme international division, to senior vice president of the parent. Also at Merck, Richard J. Markham, senior vice president for Europe, was named senior vice president of the corporation and president of the Merck Human Health Division; Edward M. Scolnick, president of the Merck Sharp & Dohme Research Laboratories, was named to the additional post of senior vice president of Merck.
