Alhambra : Raise for Police, Firefighters
The City Council agreed Monday to give police and fire officers increased retirement benefits through the state-administered Public Employees’ Retirement System.
City Manager Kevin J. Murphy said Alhambra is one of the last California cities to adopt the higher formula. He said that the amount each retiree will receive will vary according to years on the job, and that the cost to the city will be an additional 2.5% per employee.
