New Bush Street

JERUSALEM —
The West Bank settlement of Ariel will name a street after President Bush today despite his view that Jewish settlements in the occupied territories are an obstacle to peace.
Mayor Ron Nachman said Pioneer Street would be renamed to “show our appreciation of (Bush’s) commitment to save Kuwait from the Iraqi aggressor. I am sure that if Israel was in danger he would do the same for us.”
