Gunman Injures 5 in Drive-By Shooting
A drive-by shooting Thursday left five people wounded.
The gunman fled, police said.
A police dispatcher said he did not know what prompted the afternoon gunfire.
“Somebody just opened fire,” the dispatcher said.
Al Edwards, who lives in the area, said he was going to a store when he heard the gunfire and ducked.
“I saw two guys lying down and moaning and crying,” he said.
One victim, a minor, was hospitalized in fair condition with two bullet wounds in the leg, while another was treated for superficial injuries, authorities said. The other three victims’ conditions were not known.
