ESPN has given in to the Big Ten basketball coaches.
The cable sports television station has announced that it will move its Big Ten basketball coverage from 9:30 p.m. Eastern time Monday to 7:30 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday, trading spots with Big Eight coverage.
“The Big Ten came to us and requested a change,” ESPN programming spokesperson Diane Lamb said. “We tried to work with them, and both conferences are happy with the change.”
Led by Indiana’s Bob Knight, Big Ten coaches had complained about the late games and having to arrive home early Tuesday mornings.
