SANTA ANA : Man Found Dead in Home Driveway
A 23-year-old man was found dead in the driveway of his Santa Ana home after neighbors reported hearing a single gunshot early Sunday, police said.
Gonzalo Mendoza Mendoza was found at 5:30 a.m. lying in the driveway of his home in the 100 block of Franklin Street, Police Sgt. Robert Ensley said.
Paramedics at a nearby fire station were summoned to the home after neighbors called to report the gunfire. Ensley said Mendoza was already dead when paramedics arrived and there was no sign of anyone else in the street.
“The reason for the shooting is unknown at this time,” Ensley said. An investigation is continuing, he said.
