Telegraph Canyon Trip--The Sea & Sage chapter of the National Audubon Society is hosting a field trip Saturday to Telegraph Canyon in Chino Hills State Park, on the Orange-Los Angeles county border above Yorba Linda.

The canyon has a variety of habitats--from enormous oak, sycamore and walnut trees to grasslands and from river banks to dry canyon bottoms--that make it an excellent bird-sighting area.

There is a chance the group might spot a golden eagle as well as some of the other more common birds found there, including brown towhees, house wrens, spotted doves, house sparrows, European starlings, American crows, and hooded and northern orioles.
