Style : Fashion : PRETTY IN PINK

Pink is the color of the season, without a doubt. The reason is simple, says Wilmer Weiss of I. Magnin: “Pink means a rosy outlook.”

Pink. Roses. Rosy pink. Pink roses. These days, the stores, gardens and homes of Southern California are making the ultimate rosy statement. Consider: the Beverly Hills Hotel, the pink roses of Exposition Park, the Hotel Bel-Air, pink-shirted waiters, Mortons, pink bubble gum, the Super Yarn Marts, the pink phone kiosks at Century City Shopping Center. And then there’s that particular moment at sunset when the sky and everything under it take on a rosy glow.

Pink is the color of love, affection and romance. That thought, plus a dozen roses, seems just the thing for Mother’s Day.
