Just in time for Mother’s Day, clothier-perfumer Fred Hayman (Giorgio, 273) has introduced a fragrance with a top note of roses and a romantic title: . . . With Love. The new scent combines floral essences of jasmine, rose, tuberose and tagetes (a marigoldlike herb), plus a highlight of fleur d’orange. There are also hints of tangerine, black currant, patchouli, sandalwood and vetiver (an Indian grass), plus accents of labdanum (from rockroses) enhanced by musk and amber. The semi-Oriental scent, Hayman says, “is captured intimacy, seductiveness and, of course, love.” The price of love captured in a parallelogram-shaped bottle with a crystal stopper? Sixty dollars for the cologne, $90 and $300 for the perfume, all sold exclusively at Fred Hayman Beverly Hills.
