HBO’s ‘Welcome Home’

I disagree wholeheartedly with producer Anthony Eaton’s statements against Robert Hilburn’s review of the HBO television special “Welcome Home Heroes With Whitney Houston” (April 15).
Houston has a great voice, but her show was mediocre at best. As for the excited response of the “captive” audience, let me tell you that I am a World War II veteran, and anytime any performer came and put on a show, we were ecstatic no matter how good or bad it was.
