Ventura Entertainment Quarterly Profits Rebound

Ventura Entertainment Group Ltd., a North Hollywood-based producer of television programming, reported a $202,456 profit in its fiscal third quarter, compared with a year-earlier loss of $961,216.

The earnings rebound came on a surge in Ventura Entertainment’s revenue, to $3.41 million in the quarter ended March 31 from $1.36 million a year earlier. The company said the gains reflected its production of three TV series, including “Hollywood Detective.”

For the first nine months of its fiscal year, however, Ventura Entertainment posted a $3.51-million loss, compared with a $1.36-million loss a year earlier. Its nine-month revenue nearly tripled, to $12.4 million from $4.73 million.
