ANAHEIM : Foundation Starts Spring Fund-Raiser
Feedback Foundation Inc. of Anaheim is asking county residents to donate spare change to the charity during its spring fund-raiser.
Through its TLC Penny Project, the group hopes to raise funds for its program to provide lunches for senior citizens. The foundation provides meals for the elderly in 14 cities in the county and also serves about 225 lunches for the elderly daily at its two sites in Anaheim.
The group has been facing a shortfall, and the Anaheim City Council was unable to allocate additional operating funds to the group. Private donations covered the shortfall temporarily by raising $6,865 of the $7,000 needed to keep the program going.
The group will also place collection cans on counters at local businesses.
