Cut San Jose Emissions 95%, IBM Says: IBM said it has slashed chlorofluorocarbon air emissions at its San Jose plant by 95% since 1987. The computer maker said the reduction is in line with its goal to eliminate chlorofluorocarbon emissions at all its manufacturing plants by the end of 1993. The plant has reduced chlorofluorocarbon to 68,000 pounds in 1990 from 230,000 in 1989.
