Irish Ayes

It was a real delight to open the Travel Section and read the two fine articles about Northern Ireland. As a native son, born in Belfast, emigrated in 1963, it was a refreshing pleasure to read about and see pictures on all the tourist attractions in Northern Ireland. It brought back fond memories of the places I know and have visited.

Life has changed in Northern Ireland these last few years--for the better--and I found both articles to be very objective, accurate and, for a change, in agreement with my own observations.

Northern Ireland is a beautiful country with a lot to offer the visitor. Let’s hope the fine articles by Sally Ogle Davis and Shawn Pogatchnik will reawaken tourist interest in Northern Ireland and allow more people to travel and enjoy this fine country and its people.
