Quayle Arrives in Japan for Trade Talks

TOKYO —
Vice President Dan Quayle arrived in Japan today for trade talks with Prime Minister Toshiki Kaifu, a day later than originally scheduled. Quayle was to have arrived in Japan Sunday, but his plane was delayed in Alaska because of mechanical problems.
Quayle is also scheduled to meet today with Emperor Akihito and the Japanese finance, trade and farm ministers.
