GW Product Management, a Sylmar company that acts as a broker between originators of new products or technologies and the companies that buy them, said it signed an agreement with General Electric Co. to provide consulting services to GE’s defense systems department in Pittsfield, Mass.

GW President Garland S. White said his company would help GE identify potential licensing opportunities for defense systems products and technologies.

White founded GW one year ago after retiring from his full-time duties at Datametrics Corp., a Chatsworth-based maker of printers and other equipment for the military. White founded Datametrics in 1962 and remains its chairman.
