ANAHEIM : Home Aid Program Borders Expanded
- Share via
Participants in a city program to provide loans for first-time home buyers now have a larger area from which to choose a home under changes in the program.
The former boundaries of La Palma Avenue, South Street, West Street and East Street were extended after inquiries were made to buy homes in the neighborhood just south of there.
Now, the South Street border will be extended to Ball Road, and the West Street boundary will continue south along the Santa Ana Freeway to Ball Road.
City officials approved the change last week because the area is similar in character and price to the original area, and many people wanted to buy in that neighborhood.
First-time buyers whose incomes do not exceed the county median income by 20% are eligible to participate in the city program, which provides financial aid to buy homes and condominiums in the area.
