Owners of the Blue Marble Coffeehouse, which was denied an entertainment permit last week by the Costa Mesa Planning Commission, have appealed to the City Council, assistant city planner Steven C. Clarke said Tuesday. A city clerk said she did not know when the council, which meets next on June 3, would hear the appeal. The coffeehouse had planned to offer poetry readings, theatrical skits and live music.
