Some Fisher-Price Infant Car Seats May Be Defective: Owners of about 27,000 of the seats are being asked to call the company for a modification kit due to a possible safety defect. Fisher-Price said the effort involves some Model No. 9149 seats that are blue, canopied and designed to be used in a rear-facing position. The seats may have breast shields that could separate during a crash. The seats have been sold since Jan. 1. Owners may call Fisher-Price at 1-800-233-4004 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST for more information.
