MARLEY’S GHOST? The inflated whale floating above a car agency off the San Diego Freeway in Westminster is named Willie. But what’s the name of the 25-foot-long fiberglass whale that surfaces in the water of Newport Dunes each year? . . . Newport Dunes officials say they had a contest more than 20 years ago to name the creature they put in the inland lagoon each summer. But nobody can remember the winning name. So they’re finishing another name-the-whale contest, with one winning criterion being “memorability.”
