Final Report On Green Advertising Issued: Eleven state attorneys general, including California’s, issued a report warning companies against making misleading environmental claims in their advertising. The multi-state task force issued a preliminary version of “The Green Report: Recommendations for Responsible Environmental Advertising” in November. The report has been sent to the Federal Trade Commission and the Environmental Protection Agency. It identifies environmental advertising claims that probably violate state deceptive advertising laws.
